An Epic Core Inside The Keyboard

A powerful ultra-low-power ARM architecture MCU equipped with 128K Flash will provide more flexibility for developers. The polling rate is 1000 Hz out of the box, which makes latency non-existent for the competitive game.

OSA Profile Double-shot PBT Keycaps

These double-shot PBT keycaps have a similar height to the OEM profile and has an SA-like shape. We named it the OSA (OEM spherical angled) keycap. The PBT keycaps will provide excellent oil resistance, enhance the type feel, and prevent the legends from fading out.

Switch Layouts Between macOS & Windows

Built with the Mac users’ experience in mind while still retaining compatibility for Windows devices, the Keychron V6 comes with a system toggle and an additional set of customized keycaps for both Windows and macOS systems. You can now save two different layouts on the keyboard, one for each system.

Hot-swappable.

The hot-swappable sockets are mounted on the PCB, so you can install or change the switches without soldering. The PCB supports both 3-pin and 5-pin MX mechanical switches.

South-facing RGB LED Lights.

The south-facing RGB LED is designed to better illuminate the keyboard backlight from the typist’s angle with the premium non-shine-through PBT keycaps installed. The south-facing RGB is also free from interference when the users install OEM or Cherry-profile alternative keycaps on the keyboard.

Pre-lubed Keychron K Pro Switch

By optimizing the switch mold, the K Pro switch wobbles less than a standard mechanical switch and feels smoother on each hit. Plus, the factory pre-lubed process on all the K Pro switches (exclude the clicky ones), no doubt this will ensure the best smoothness at your fingertips when typing.

All New Screw-In PCB Stabilizers

The screw-in design increases stability and makes it easier for changes and upgrades. Precise craftsmanship makes the stabilizers more stable and less shaky. The big keys’ (space bar, shift, enter, backspace) typing experience is now more stable and smooth. The Keychron V6 also supports third-party screw-in PCB stabilizers.

Amazing

Pretty much perfect

I really do love this board. It was so close to being perfect, except that the stabilizers for the spacebar were super rattly for me out of the box. It did not diminish the board's function at all, so there was no need to take a star off, but it wasn't very pleasant. Putting some padding on the PCB and replacing the stock stabs with Durock V2s fixed everything. I am sure the padding and tuning the stock stabs to my liking would have fixed it as well, but I had the Durocks around from a previous build. That said, I dislike almost nothing about this board now. It is easy to take apart, and the hot swap is fantastic, it sounds great, feels great, and works great. If you are looking for a full-sized board and don't mind that it has to be plugged in to work, I cannot recommend it enough for the price. I also recommend the knob if you are new to keyboards, it is more helpful than you think and also very fun to play with!

love it so much

i'm slowly getting into mechanical keyboards and grabbed the v6 because i could swap out the keycaps and it was full-sized, that's really all i'm looking for right now. it's become my absolute favorite. i love the profile and weight. i ordered it with the brown switches and swapped out the default keys with the cherry profile "player" set also from keychron- so great. the sound is great, typing is smooth, it's going to be hard finding/making another build like this for this price. (i bought the carbon black/non-transparent one and turned off the LED lights because they're distracting.)

So much keyboard for the money

I was looking at this or the K10 Pro, and I'm happy that I didn't bother with the wireless feature. There's a fair bit of heft to the V6 as is, so as a full size it makes a pretty good permanent desktop board, not going to me moving it around and reconnecting it. The Gateron Browns are a bit on the light side, they aren't really tactile like CherryMX Browns but they they have a very tiny bit of resistance. PBT keycaps are great, matte texture and the dished surfaces give it a premium feel. The south facing LED's are pretty much useless. If you don't turn on the illumination, the LED's under the CAPS and NUMLOCk keys work as indicators, but when you turn on full illumination it only lights up the spaces between the keys. It's purely decorative, since south facing means the light doesn't hit shine-through keys properly. Probably mod the keycaps with o-rings to dampening down the sound a bit more and it would be nearly perfect for key feel if you type a lot.

Thoroughly impressed by the build quality

The whole thing feels solid and case plastic is dense.
The VIA/QMK is the cherry on top, once you figure it out.
I got it with the Gateron G Pro 2.0 Yellows, stock keycaps and it 'thocs', love the sound.
And the typing feels so smooth.
The V6 is my first custom build, and I'm happy about it.
